While on the road in South Korea I saw many things (such as some horse-archery, a beautiful girl, and the reincarnation of a canine deity) but one thing I kept noticing was these randomly placed chairs. They were often spotted next to roads, which led me to believe they were perhaps there for elderly people waiting for buses or some similar purpose. Whatever the case, the very oddness of the frequency with which I saw the four-legged beasts spurred my desire to visually ensnare each one.
(What I’m trying to say is “I took some pics of some freakin’ chairs!” okay?)
Although I will never know the whys behind these seemingly discarded butt-holders I’m glad they were there as simple, silent landmarks along my trails through South Korea.
Do you like chairs? What’s your favourite kind of chair? What kind of things do you look for when you travel?
